Thanks. I arrived late at night on a Saturday night for take-out. The restaurant only does take out. I appreciate them being there. The 3 entrees took 45 minutes to prepare. I imagine that's because food is made from scratch, and it's not sitting under heat lamps. If you want your food "faster" call ahead for your order. After 9 p.m., the restaurant does not do call-in pickup orders. I gave 5 stars all around. Entrees come with a good portion of food. Be sure to check on your takeout order before you leave the shop. Everything's irie. [My drive from the restaurant was 20 minutes plus another 5 minutes to get settled before I could eat any food. Of course, it was cold by then. I heated it up in the microwave. If you're getting it delivered or have a drive back home, expect that. The reason why I'm stating the obvious here is because I'm not sure if that contributed to the fries and chicken tenders that I ordered being very soggy and oily by the time I got home. It was so oily I could only take one bite and about 5 fries. We liked everything else we ordered. The price was great. I think we should give small businesses the chance to make orders right and even shop them a few times before we give up on their products. Talk to management so they are aware of any issue. Too often, people are overly picky in regards to local businesses, but big national and international chains we don't like service, but we shop there every week without a written or official complaint.]
Had the oxtails dinner w mac n cheese snd greens ... chefs kiss .. oxtails fell off the bone jerk sauce was in the side but was so good .. I didn't need any hot sauce for the greens and the Mac and cheese was perfect. Definitely going to back probably later today lol
I had Rice with Beans, Macaroni-Cheese, collard Greens, and Cabbage. All seasoned very well. My stomach was full. Very attentive and care about order being correct and customers satisfied.
Just like the bus stop in Jamaica ! Jerk Chicken seasoned to perfection (not too hot and not “Americanized”) Real Authentic Mediterranean Food - “Shef” has been at this 11 years and it shows!
Want to start by thanking Chef for being such an amazing person and not turning us away just after he closed also having a great heart and blessing my niece for graduating from Hammond high we were rushing to get here before heading back to Indy and he was already closed but still allowed me in to order he even allowed us to wait in the car and he brought it out personally Gary may have a negative light but people like him and places like this will always shine a bright light on the city I burnt my mouth trying to eat thi food it was just sooooo fresh and delicious couldn’t tell it was the end of the night I highly recommend this place these tacos are UNMATCHED period thank you again Chef

The location couldn’t be more convenient, especially for truckers—there’s a huge open lot right across the street for easy parking. I’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints.
